1. Fees Policy
UgForOne is committed to ensuring that every donation goes directly to the cause. Our fee structure is:
- Platform Fee: 0% — We do not deduct any percentage from donations.
- Payment Processing: Mobile Money providers (MTN & Airtel) may charge a small transaction fee on the sender's end, but UgForOne does not add any additional charges.
- Optional Donor Tips: When completing a donation, donors may optionally add a tip to support UgForOne's operations. This is entirely voluntary and is never included by default.
- Sponsored Features: Campaign creators and organisations may pay for promoted placement on the platform. This has no effect on donated funds.
2. Refund Policy
All donations made on UgForOne are generally non-refundable, as funds are disbursed progressively to campaign creators. However, we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:
Eligible Refund Situations
- A campaign is found to be fraudulent after investigation
- A campaign is closed by UgForOne due to confirmed violation
- A duplicate payment was made in error
- A campaign was cancelled by the creator before any funds were disbursed
Refund Process
- Contact us within 14 days of the donation at support@ugforone.com
- Provide proof of payment (MTN/Airtel transaction ID)
- State the reason for the refund request
- Our team will review within 5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed back to your Mobile Money number within 7-10 business days
3. Privacy Policy
UgForOne is committed to protecting your privacy. This section explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Campaign Creators: Name, phone, email, location, NIN/Passport, bank/MoMo details, facial photo
- Donors: Name, phone number (for payment records), donation amount
- Website Visitors: General analytics (page views, browser type) via anonymised tools
How We Use Your Data
- To verify identities and process campaign applications
- To send payment confirmation and campaign update emails
- To maintain financial records for compliance and audit
- To improve the platform experience
- To send newsletters (only if you opt-in)
Data Protection
We apply industry-standard security practices to protect your data. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with payment processors as necessary to complete transactions.
Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

4. Withdrawal / Fund Disbursement Policy
This policy governs how and when campaign creators receive funds raised on UgForOne.
Disbursement Schedule
- Standard campaigns: Weekly disbursements during the active campaign period
- Final disbursement: Within 3–5 business days after campaign ends
- Emergency campaigns: Expedited disbursements available upon review
Conditions for Disbursement
- Campaign must be verified and approved
- Creator must have a valid registered Mobile Money number or bank account
- No active fraud investigation on the campaign
- Minimum disbursement amount: UGX 10,000
Disbursement Channels
- MTN Mobile Money
- Airtel Money
- Bank Transfer (for campaigns raising above UGX 1,000,000)
Holds & Delays
UgForOne may place a temporary hold on disbursements if:
- We receive a credible fraud report about the campaign
- Donor disputes are under review
- The campaign creator has not responded to our verification requests
- A legal order or regulatory requirement necessitates a hold
We will notify the campaign creator immediately of any hold and provide an estimated resolution timeline.
